The CSGO player discovered a way to make the game definitely smoother.
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is a fairly strange title that can run smoother on one device and worse on another with identical specifications. Interestingly, one Reddit community member noticed that one account had more FPS than another. What does it depend on and what to do to make the game the most efficient?
The method is not new, but it is worth recalling and applying it from time to time. It does not require much time and everything can be done in a few dozen seconds.
How to fix your CSGO and get some FPS?
First of all, save the CSGO launch options, crosshair, viewmodel, radar, or other things that are contained in the autoexec file. Then copy all the folders in the path below and copy them to the desktop (they might be handy in case something went wrong). Then go back there and delete all files:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata
The next step is to restart Steam and add CSGO launch options (if any) and start the game. Now just paste the autoexec file and the CS should be smoother. Of course, there is no guarantee that the number of FPS will be increased, but the game should be visually smoother.

According to Counter-Strike players’ reports on Reddit, this method does help, but there are cases where there is no enough difference. Either way, it’s worth trying it out.
