CS: GO very often evokes great emotions. Especially when victory was at hand.
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive players get nervous very often during their games, even if they are not playing for anything special and it is regular matchmaking.
The case is similar at the professional level, with the difference that the players have more self-control, although there are cases when they cannot keep their nerves in check. An example of such an incident would be dev1ce who “knocked out” his monitor.
After the CS: GO player hit the monitor a technical break was needed
First, it’s worth seeing the situation that upset dev1ce so much. The player was really close to winning the round. However, the rival turned out to be better.
As you can see in the video below, dev1ce punches his monitor, and then a tactical break is needed. It wasn’t too hard a hit, of course, but it was probably enough to damage the monitor in some way. So far, the Danish player has not informed about the status of the device, but he may decide to do so in the near future.
In the past, there have likely been times when players vented frustration on their devices. CS: GO can arouse a lot of emotions, which is also sometimes shown by professionals.
