Huge healing nerfs in LoL. Nearly every life-steal item weakened

On test servers, we can check out rune and healing items nerfs.

Healing became a hot topic in the League of Legends community. Initially, devs informed that pre-season will decrease the amount of health restored. Then, one of their entries discussed why they withdraw from the decision.

It seems that healing is such a big and common part of a game that Riot has to nerf many items relying on it.

What changed on PBE?

Despite better availability to items giving deep wounds, omnivamp is still a problem. Tanks based on healing, like Aatrox, or Olaf with enhancements using Moonstaff dominate in the current meta.

Nerfs that made their appearance on test servers are not too big. Nonetheless, they should change the current builds, bruiser’s power strike moment, and ADC. It will be the most impactful on those who relied on BoTRK and Immortal Shieldbow.

Full list of changes attached below.

The community reacted strongly to the upcoming nerfs. Some say that Riot is planning on silently weakening the whole healing system. It is meant to be a community answer to the far-fetched data on the variety of items.

It is not yet known if these changes will be introduced in the official version of a game. So far it creates a big controversy and, in many people’s opinion, Riot should choose a different path for balancing said problems.
