Which champions and items will be nerfed and which will be buffed next patch?


League of Legends gets another biweekly update with mostly balancing changes to nerf items or characters that are too strong and buff those that aren’t doing the best. So what will the next patch 11.8 bring to the game, which will hit live servers on April 14?

Full list of changes in the next update

Item nerfs

  • Titanic Hydra
    • AD from the Colossus ability changed from 1% of the whole HP to 2% bonus HP
  • Ionian Boots of Lucidity
    • Total cost increased from 900 to 950

Item Buffs

  • Frozen Heart
    • Armor increased from 70 to 80

Item fixes

  • Shurelya’s Battlesong
    • [REMOVED] Inspire Ability – Item no longer causes three consecutive abilities or ally attacks to deal bonus magic damage.
    • [NEW] Passive Motivate Ability – Boosting or protecting allies grants two Heroes 25% movement speed for 1.5 seconds.
  • Moonstone Renewer
    • Healing from Starlit Grace’s ability changed from 50-100 (based on hero’s level) to 60
    • Starlit Grace’s passive ability changed from “Each second in combat increases base healing power by 12.5% up to a maximum of 50%” to “Each second in combat increases heal and shield power by 4% up to a maximum of 20%”.
  • Staff of Flowing Water
    • Rapids ability changed from “Gives 15% movement speed and 20-40 AP for 3 seconds” to “Gives 20% Ability Haste and 20-40 AP for 4 seconds”
  • Hextech Rocketbelt
    • HP lowered from 350 to 250
    • Penetration magic resist increased from 0 to 6
  • Chemtank Putrifier
    • AP increased from 50 to 55
    • “Healing and shields given to allies cause their next attack to inflict deep wounds” changed to “Healing and shields given to allies cause both their and the spellcaster’s attack to inflict deep wounds.”

  • Annie
    • Incinerate (W)
      • Mana cost increased from 70/80/90/100/110 to 80/90/100/110/120
  • Thresh
    • Flay (E)
      • Cooldown increased from 9 to 11 / 11.5 / 10 / 9.5 / 9 seconds
  • Gnar
    • Hop (W)
      • Movement speed changed from 30/45/60/75% to 20/40/60/80%
  • Orianna
    • Command: Protect (E)
      • Resistance lowered from 10/15/20/25/30 to 6/12/18/24/30
  • Yorick
    • Tower
      • When the Mist Walkers attack an enemy champion within range of the tower, it will attack them, not Yorick
      • When the Maiden of the Mist attacks an enemy champion within range of the tower, it will attack her, not Yorick
      • The tower will now attack the minions first and then the Maiden of the Mist
    • Mourning Mist (E)
      • Mist Walkers that jump on a marked champion or creature deal 100% instead of 200% damage on their first attack
      • [NEW] Marked units receive 40% increased damage from Mist Walkers for their next 8 attacks

ALSO – The champion that got nerfed a week ago is by definition OP. Either ban or someone chooses them

      • Skill cooldown lowered from 10 to 8 seconds
  • Aphelios
    • The Hitman and the Seer (P)
      • Lethality increased from 3-18 to 3.5-21
    • Moonlight Vigil (R)
      • Calibrum
        • Damage per sign increased from 40-100 to 50-110
      • Severum
        • Healing increased from 250-500 to 275-525 HP
      • Gravitum
        • Root duration increased from 1.25 to 1.35 seconds
      • Infernum
        • Splash damage percentage increased from 85% to 90%
      • Crescendum
        • Chakras generated increased from 4 to 5
  • Zac
    • Unstable Matter (W)
      • Damage ratio increased from + 2% per 100 AP to + 4% per 100 AP
  • Cassiopeia

      • Mana cost lowered from 50 to 50/48/46/44/42

  • Rammus
    • Powerball (Q)
      • Base damage lowered from 100/135/170/205/240 to 100/130/160/190/220
    • Defensive Ball Curl (W)
      • Basic Attacks extend the duration of the ability by 0.4 seconds, up to a maximum of 4 additional seconds
    • Puncturing Taunt (E)
      • Taunt duration lowered from 1.25 / 1.5 / 1.75 / 2 / 2.25 to 1.2 / 1.4 / 1.6 / 1.8 / 2 seconds
    • Soaring Slam (R)
      • Rammus leaps into the air and hits the target, dealing 100/175/250 (+0.6 AP) magic damage and slowing enemies by 15 / 17.5 / 20% for 1.5 seconds
      • If the ability is used while Rammus is in the Power Ball, enemies near the center will be knocked up and take damage from a Power Ball collision, ending its effect.
      • Rammus generates additional aftershocks at the point of impact, each dealing a small amount of magic damage and restoring the initial slow.
      • The ability’s range is 130% of the average Rammus speed gained in the last second
      • Cooldown increased from 100/80/60 to 130/110/90 seconds
      • Range – 400
      • Bump range – 200
  • Dr Mundo
    • Adrenaline Rush (P)
      • Heal increased from 1.5% of max health for 5 seconds to 2.5% of max health for 5 seconds
    • Infected Cleaver (Q)
      • Maximum damage the ability can deal to creatures and minions changed from 300-500 to 100-500
      • Hitting a Hero now refunds 100% of its health cost, up from 50%
    • Masochism (E)
      • Bonus AD lowered from 40-100 to 30-90
  • Rumble

      • [NEW] Ability reduces Magic Resist by 10% for 4 seconds (stacks additively)
      • Danger Zone – reduces magic resistance by 15% for 4 seconds

    • Contempt for the Weak (P)
      • Ability cooldowns now only apply to champions
      • [REMOVED] Ability deals an additional 100% damage to minions
      • Maximum damage the ability can deal to minions changed from 200-500 to 300, but this limit only applies to epic minions

    • Hemorrhage (P)
      • Damage to jungle creatures increased from 175% to 300%
  • Mordekaiser
    • Darkness Rise (P)
      • Maximum damage to jungle creatures increased from 28-164 to 180 at all ranks
      • [NEW] Basic attacks and abilities stack and refresh while damaging jungle creatures

      • Bonus damage to jungle creatures increased from 150% to 200%
