The song by K/DA from LoL was plagiarized in a TV commercial for a Chinese car manufacturer

There is information on the web that someone plagiarized a well-known song by the band K/DA.

The band consisting of Ahri, Akali, Evelynn, and Kai’Sa is hugely popular all over the world. Already in 2018, it became recognizable thanks to the song POP/STARS, which currently has almost 450 million views on YouTube.

The group of girls came back later with new songs and even the whole album – ALL OUT. The first song that promoted the new album was another hit – THE BADDEST. And that’s what we’re talking about today.

Plagiarism of a famous song by K/DA

It has been known for a long time that popular songs often fall victim to plagiarism. It happens that someone uses their music or text in a small project so that the matter is not publicized. However, this time it was different.

One fan who admits he is not a typical game fan, but is interested in some League of Legends content – noted that there was an advertisement on TV with a soundtrack that he felt was very familiar. He quickly associated it with a song by K/DA – THE BADDEST.

The advertisement below is a spot promoting Changan Automobile cars. It is a Chinese car manufacturer based in Chongqing. The company was founded in 1862 as Chang’an Machinery Manufactury.

For comparison, this is the song by K/DA – THE BADDEST released last year:

Many commentators did not hide their indignation that the advertisement so openly plagiarized a song from League of Legends.

After all, it was so obvious someone would notice. Explicit copy, nothing else!

On YouTube, they have comments turned off because someone has probably started paying attention.

Under the car advertising video, comments are actually turned off, and users’ reactions to the video speak for themselves – over 90% of them are dislikes.

So far, it is not known how the matter will be resolved. Perhaps the plagiarism has already been reported and the ad will soon be taken down.
