Banning agents in Valorant before the match starts? Will Riot implement this idea?

Riot came up with the idea of banning agents in Valorant while choosing one to play with. Is it a good idea?

Valorant appeared on the video games market almost a year ago. Back then, 10 agents were available to experiment and play with. So far, another five have been added. And we can hear more and more often about the pick-back system.

“We expect teams to have set plays and strategies that will require very specific Agents. Banning an Agent would invalidate that entire strategy, and we don’t want to discourage practice.” – said senior game designer, Trevor Romleski.

When will it come to life?

Valorant Game Designer Nicholas Wu Smith was asked when the pick-ban system will make its first appearance. He replied that it could happen when there are about 30 agents in the game. It might mean that, at the current rate, such a change should not take place until 3-4 years.

A possible problem with this kind of scenario may be that a good player will be blocked from picking their favourite agents. Do we want TenZ to play his main, Jett, at all times or do we want her to be banned?
